About The Position

The Appleview Lunch/Recess Aide is responsible for supervising students in the cafeteria during mealtimes and on the playground. This role involves ensuring student safety, enforcing rules, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The aide will also report any serious disciplinary issues to the administration and observe students who are not eating.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals.
• Circulates among tables during mealtimes to assist children and resolve problems.
• Informs administration of any serious infraction of discipline rules by students.
• Observes students not eating lunch and calls it to the attention of the school nurse.
• Ensures the cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas.
• Assists in establishing, implementing, and supervising orderly disposal of food waste and dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Supervises students on the playground and ensures students are being safe and following the rules.
• Performs any other duties or responsibilities designated by the Principal.
