About The Position

Supervise students in the lunchroom to ensure a safe, orderly, and clean lunch period. This position aligns with the DCS Student Calendar and typically runs from 10:30 AM to 1:15 PM, with approximate times and schedule based on building assignment. The role involves assisting students, fostering a positive environment, monitoring for food allergies, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with Food & Nutrition staff. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Demonstrated ability to work with parents, students and staff
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to be self-directed and ability to identify and solve problems
• Good attendance is important for this position and is expected

Responsibilities

• Assist students in entering and exiting the lunchroom in an orderly fashion
• Help to create a positive lunchroom environment
• Be aware of students with food allergies and monitor when necessary
• Wipe off tables and sweep floors during and between lunches
• Work collaboratively with Food & Nutrition staff in regards to serving procedures
• Assists in other areas as directed by building principal
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to assignment required
• Other tasks as assigned
