About The Position

Supervise students in the lunchroom to ensure a safe, orderly, and clean lunch period. This position aligns with the DCS Student Calendar and typically runs from 10:30 AM to 1:15 PM, with approximate times and schedule based on building assignment. The role involves assisting students, maintaining a positive environment, monitoring for food allergies, cleaning tables and floors, and collaborating with Food & Nutrition staff. Reliable attendance and punctuality are required, along with other tasks as assigned by the building principal.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Demonstrated ability to work with parents, students and staff.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to be self-directed and ability to identify and solve problems.
Good attendance is important for this position and is expected.

Responsibilities

Supervise students in the lunchroom to ensure a safe, orderly, and clean lunch period.
Assist students in entering and exiting the lunchroom in an orderly fashion.
Help to create a positive lunchroom environment.
Be aware of students with food allergies and monitor when necessary.
Wipe off tables and sweep floors during and between lunches.
Work collaboratively with Food & Nutrition staff in regards to serving procedures.
Assists in other areas as directed by building principal.
Reliable attendance and punctuality to assignment required.
Other tasks as assigned.
