Immediate Full-Time Lunch/Hall Monitor (High School)
About The Position
KIPP Jacksonville seeks a full-time lunch/hall monitor for KIPP Bold City High School. This role involves monitoring hallways and the cafeteria to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and school facilities. The monitor will supervise students by ensuring adherence to norms and expectations using positive reinforcement and clear communication, managing student behavior according to school policies, maintaining schedules for grade-level transitions, and assisting students in the serving line, hallways, and classrooms. Success in this role requires enjoyment of working with high school students, flexibility, and strong organizational skills to maintain a smooth schedule.
Requirements

- Promptness
- Passing a background check, as required by law
- Background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse

Responsibilities
- Monitor hallways and cafeteria to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and school facilities.
- Ensure that norms and expectations for the hallways and cafeteria are adhered to by using positive reinforcement, stating clear expectations for students, and following the school’s steps to manage all student behavior(s).
- Maintain the schedule for grade levels (i.e. overseeing transitions, monitoring time, giving time warnings, etc.).
- Assist, as needed, to get students through the serving line and through the hallways and staircases.
- Assist, as needed, to direct students to their tables and classes.
