ASED is experiencing a significant increase in customer demand for design engineers across mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering disciplines. These roles will primarily support the new Lunar Lander Spacecraft and related hardware projects for the Artemis Program, focusing on ambitious lunar exploration goals. Responsibilities include mechanical component design, spacecraft structures design, fluid system design, electrical harness design, and mechanical and electrical system integration/assembly. Candidates must be able to meet aggressive schedules and deliverable due dates, with occasional overtime potentially required. The role involves working within integrated product teams alongside other contractors and NASA Civil Servants from various organizations and disciplines to release engineering documentation for flight hardware manufacturing. This includes developing designs, detailed fabrication and assembly drawings, and providing fabrication support to manufacturing personnel. Collaboration with outside vendors and NASA personnel is expected, along with developing and delivering reports and presentations to MSFC and Amentum management. Positions are primarily on-site, with potential for remote opportunities.
