About The Position

The Lumberyard Associate is responsible for building loads for delivery and helping maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard. The role includes loading and unloading lumber and building supplies, operating a forklift, and informing management of delays or discrepancies. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively one-on-one.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding, carry out simple one- or two-step instructions, and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Responsibilities

• Build loads for delivery.
• Load and unload lumber and building supplies.
• Operate a forklift.
• Keep management informed of delays or discrepancies.
• Keep the lumber yard clean, well-organized, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
