About The Position

Wagner Hardwoods, LLC is hiring a Lumber Stacker / General Laborer at its Cayuta, New York facility. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a hardwood lumber manufacturer. The role involves sorting and stacking boards into carts according to sort numbers, building finished bundles, and pushing completed bundles out for forklift removal. The position is scheduled for the first shift, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a flexible schedule available. Overtime hours and pay are available. The anticipated pay range is $16–$19 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a warehouse worker is preferred.
• Previous experience as an entry-level worker is preferred.
• A high school degree is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working on a farm.

Responsibilities

• Identify the sort numbers for the carts assigned to you.
• Pull boards into the correct carts according to the sort numbers on the boards.
• Stack boards so that the top, bottom, and outside boards are the longest.
• Ensure all edges are free of knots, wane, writing, and other defects.
• Build square bundles with edge boards against the cart pipes.
• Fill each bundle and finish it with a top layer.
• Push finished bundles out for forklift removal.
