Lull Operator/ Materials Handler - Commercial Construction

About The Position

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a dependable Lull/telehandler operator and construction materials handler to support material movement and jobsite operations on large construction projects. The role operates a telehandler to move and stage materials, assists with shipping and receiving, monitors jobsite consumables, and helps maintain the tool room and inventory control. The successful candidate is safety-conscious, organized, and able to work independently across multiple job sites. The position may involve working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and inclement weather, in areas with moderate or high noise, dust, fumes, or airborne particles, and in confined spaces or at heights. Duties may require using heavy machinery, hand and power tools, working aloft, climbing, bending, pulling, reaching overhead, standing or walking for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Travel may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience operating a Lull/telehandler, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a construction environment.
Ability to operate a Lull/telehandler.
Experience working in the field on large construction projects.
Basic computer skills.
Valid driver's license and good driving record to operate a company or leased vehicle.
Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
Must be available and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, including working varying schedules.
Ability to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires, with close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to perform the physical demands described, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of experience operating a telehandler/Lull to transport materials on construction job sites.
Bilingual in Spanish.
Prior military experience.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Lull/telehandler to unload, transport, lift, and stage construction materials around the jobsite.
Move materials within the jobsite using equipment or by hand as needed.
Support jobsite material handling, shipping, receiving, and delivery operations.
Operate company-owned or leased vehicles to transport materials and support jobsite logistics.
Monitor inventory and stock levels of consumables, including nuts, bolts, washers, hangers, duct sealer, and screws.
Notify the foreman or superintendent of low stock and anticipated material shortages.
Assist with inventory control, material organization, and tool room duties.
Keep materials and tools organized to support efficient jobsite operations.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
