About The Position

McGrath Kia of Highland Park is seeking a Lube Technician to join their express service team. This is an opportunity to start a career with a clear path for growth, from Lube Technician to Kia Certified Technician and eventually Kia Master Technician. The company provides paid Kia factory training and certifications, and promotes from within. Technicians will work on late-model vehicles, including Kia EVs and hybrids. The dealership is family-owned, emphasizes hospitality over pressure, and is building a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license and a clean enough record to drive customer vehicles
• Reliability and punctuality
• Comfort working with your hands and a willingness to learn
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet in a shop environment
• A positive attitude

Nice To Haves

• Shop experience
• Experience from retail, warehouse, or food service
• Experience turning wrenches on your own car
• Experience at a quick lube

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections
• Check and top off fluids; inspect belts, hoses, wipers, filters, and batteries
• Document inspection findings accurately
• Keep bay clean, organized, and safe
• Move vehicles through the service drive efficiently and treat every car with care
• Learn from certified techs and Kia's factory training program
