About The Position
The Lube Technician performs routine vehicle maintenance and inspections while ensuring quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and compliance with dealership safety standards. The role includes carrying out services efficiently and accurately according to repair orders and dealership standards, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and communicating recommended additional maintenance or repairs to the Service Advisor.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and automotive systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate shop equipment and tools safely.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including a background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- ASE or trade school certifications preferred.
- Previous automotive service or lube technician experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, fluid checks, tire pressure inspections, and other routine maintenance services.
- Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and report recommended repair or maintenance needs to the Service Advisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and keep customer vehicles clean during service.
- Operate and maintain shop equipment, tools, and vehicle lifts safely.
- Follow repair orders accurately and complete services efficiently while meeting dealership standards.
- Follow company safety policies and promptly report accidents, hazards, or equipment concerns.
