About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to provide customer service and perform preventive maintenance services that help keep guests’ vehicles safe on the road. No previous automotive experience is required; the company provides hands-on training through its training program. The job is at 3249 Memorial Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Training covers oil changes, fluid checks and refills, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, light and wiper inspection and replacement, 18-point maintenance checks, and other preventive maintenance services. The role offers hands-on development and the potential to advance to Service Center Manager within 18–24 months. The position involves reading and understanding written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions. Employees should be prepared to work in a non-climate-controlled environment and perform the physical activities described in the posting. Weekend availability is likely; late-night hours and holidays are not worked.

Requirements

No previous automotive experience is required; hands-on training is provided.
Schedule flexibility; weekend availability is likely.
Eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and interest in joining a customer-focused team.
Ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
