About The Position

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is hiring an entry-level Lube Technician to help keep guests safe on the road by providing customer service and performing preventive maintenance on vehicles. Previous automotive experience is not required; the company provides hands-on training through its training program. The role is located at 4822 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, Ohio 44515. The position requires schedule flexibility, including likely weekend availability, but does not involve late-night hours or holidays. Employees should be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment and able to perform the physical tasks described below.

Requirements

Bring a positive attitude, attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and a friendly approach to working on a customer-focused team.
Have schedule flexibility; weekend availability is likely.
Be able to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions.
Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Be able to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head.
Be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests.
Perform preventive maintenance services on vehicles, including changing oil; checking and refilling fluids; rotating tires; testing and replacing batteries; inspecting and replacing lights and wipers; and completing an 18-point maintenance check.
Participate in hands-on training and learn additional preventive maintenance services.
