This role involves assisting in scheduling procedures and surgeries, coordinating with insurance companies for authorizations, and communicating with patients regarding pre/post-operative phases. The LPN will also manage pre-operative appointments, inform surgeons of patient concerns, and assist patients in achieving their health goals by executing the prescribed plan of care. Key responsibilities include maintaining patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality, staying current with medical knowledge, and responding flexibly to changing demands. The position also entails conducting pre-visit preparations, managing the clinic environment (instrument setup, cleaning, supply ordering, restocking), and performing various clinical duties such as checking vital signs, preparing for physical exams, verifying prescriptions, handling biohazard waste, adhering to OSHA and CLIA-waived testing guidelines, performing venipunctures, handling specimens, conducting EKGs, administering immunizations and injections, and monitoring vaccine, medication, and laboratory supplies. Additionally, the role requires effective participation in the healthcare team, courteous interaction with patients and colleagues, providing constructive feedback, demonstrating effective time management, participating in performance improvement activities, efficient resource utilization, and prudent use of hospital property and supplies. Financial responsibilities include reviewing e-bills and capturing all services performed. Health Information Management responsibilities involve offering and receiving feedback for practice improvement, ensuring patient information privacy and confidentiality, and appropriately charting patient data.
