This role involves assisting in the scheduling of procedures and surgeries, coordinating with insurance companies for authorizations, and communicating with patients regarding pre- and post-operative phases. The LPN will also manage pre-operative appointments, inform surgeons of any patient concerns, and assist patients in achieving their health goals by executing the prescribed plan of care. Key responsibilities include maintaining patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality, staying current with medical knowledge, and adapting to changing demands. The position also entails conducting pre-visit preparations, managing the clinic environment (instrument setup, cleaning, ordering supplies, restocking), and performing various clinical duties such as checking vital signs, preparing for physical examinations, verifying prescriptions, handling biohazard waste, performing laboratory procedures (including CLIA-waived tests, venipunctures, specimen handling), administering immunizations and injections, and providing emergency first aid. Additionally, the LPN will monitor vaccine, medication, and laboratory supplies, coordinating with hospital departments as needed. The role also includes clinic stakeholder responsibilities such as effective teamwork, courteous interaction with patients and colleagues, providing constructive feedback, and clinic financial responsibilities like time management, participation in performance improvement activities, efficient resource utilization, and accurate billing. Health information management responsibilities include providing and receiving feedback, improving practice, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
