LPN Med/Surg - $10k SOB
About The Position
Promotes the patient’s health by completing the nursing process. Takes vital signs, monitoring pain, and records narrative on patient’s condition; Carries out prescribed medical and nursing treatments; Educates patients on medications being administered. Listens to patient concerns; provides emotional support Supervises patient care technicians in the delivery of patient care Observes, documents and reports patient condition and progress to RNs and providers; Provides emotional support to patients and their families. Assists with maintenance and stocking of the unit as needed Completes abuse assessments and reports findings to RN staff Assists in early identification of emergent complications Educates patients in health care promotion, such as disease prevention, accident prevention.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nursing License - by NYS Education Department (NYSED)
- BLS – Basic Life Support
- Ability to work in POD nursing structure with responsibility for CNA
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital experience is desired
- Experience in EMR
- Experience with bar code scanning med pass
- Experience with wound care
