About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an exciting Full-Time job in Tucson, AZ. This role focuses on geriatric and long-term care within a facility setting. The position involves administering medications and treatments, performing various nursing procedures, observing and reporting resident conditions, and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The LPN will also supervise subordinate staff, participate in care coordination, and complete admission assessments. Ensuring adequate supplies and medications, responding to emergencies, and supporting infection control and quality improvement initiatives are also key aspects of the role.
Requirements
- Active LPN License
- CPR/BLS Certification
- TB Skin Test

- Previous geriatric or long-term care experience preferred
- Strong leadership and patient care skills
- Ability to work weekends and rotating schedules as required
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and within scope of license
- Perform wound care, catheter care, tracheostomy care, gastrostomy/jejunostomy care, and other nursing treatments
- Observe and report resident conditions, responses to medications, and changes in health status
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and resident support
- Supervise subordinate staff and assist with staff training and development
- Participate in shift reports, staff meetings, and interdisciplinary care coordination
- Complete admission nursing assessments for newly admitted residents
- Ensure adequate supplies and medications are maintained on the unit
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and perform other assigned nursing duties
- Support infection control and quality improvement initiatives
