About The Position
Gateway Rehab Center is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse for its Center Township, Pennsylvania location. The schedule will vary. Nurses provide direct patient nursing care, including administering medications and carrying out therapeutic treatments, at an extended care facility treating people with substance use disorders. The role includes providing patient health education, documenting nursing observations and care, and participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The nurse coordinates with GRC departments as appropriate and must be able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure as a registered or practical nurse.
- CPR certification.
- Must be skilled and physically able to perform necessary medical interventions when needed.
- Must demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills necessary to take responsibility for nursing-related patient care.
- Obtain Pennsylvania Child Abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
- Pass a drug screen.
- Complete a 2-step TB test.
- Complete a Pennsylvania criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Two years’ experience in the nursing field is preferred.
