About The Position
The LPN assists in delivering care in the Medical Surgical unit at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, including assessing patient needs, planning care, and meeting those needs. Under the supervision of an RN, the LPN provides quality nursing care focused on excellent outcomes and patient experience. The role is per diem with a rotating shift.
Requirements
- Current New York State LPN license.
- BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with assessing patient needs, planning care, and meeting patient needs in the Medical Surgical unit.
- Facilitate patient care with the care team.
- Maintain patient safety and a clean, safe environment.
- Promote and support an organized work environment.
- Provide quality nursing care under RN supervision, focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
