About The Position
The RN on 3 McAuley at St. Peter’s Hospital provides care to general medical/surgical patients. The role offers exposure to varied patient populations and disease processes, with care tailored to underlying comorbidities and age-related concerns in collaboration with an integrated healthcare team. New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. The nurse ensures quality nursing care in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice. Using the Nursing Process, the nurse plans, directs, and supervises patient care and participates in direct care for patients and families. This is a part-time, 12-hour night-shift position.
Requirements
- Current and valid New York State RN license, or a plan to obtain one as a recent or future graduate.
- ASN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS certification.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality nursing care in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.
- Use the Nursing Process to plan, direct, and supervise patient care.
- Participate in the direct care of patients and families.
- Collaborate with an integrated healthcare team to tailor care to patients’ comorbidities and age-related concerns.
