About The Position
The Vines Hospital in Ocala, Florida, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support its nursing department at a behavioral health facility providing mental health and addiction treatment to adults. The LPN is responsible for medication and treatment tasks, direct patient care, and helping maintain a therapeutic and rehabilitative environment. The position also includes patient education, documentation, reporting, and assisting staff during crisis situations.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license or registration in the State of Florida.
- Have one to two years of experience as an LPN in a hospital or other healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely and according to schedule.
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with meals and daily activities.
- Complete change-of-shift reporting and charting.
- Participate in groups and provide patient education.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and contribute to a safe, therapeutic, and rehabilitative environment.
- Record medication variances for investigation by the RN.
- Assist with medication recapitulation and treatments as needed.
- Report unusual findings to the charge nurse.
- Assist staff during crisis situations and intervene as needed.
