About The Position
Deaconess is offering an LPN-to-RN bridge opportunity for licensed practical nurses who are pursuing an RN degree. The role is a PRN LPN position for nursing students, allowing them to continue building clinical experience, stay connected to patient care, and grow within the organization while completing RN school. Hospital location depends on the applicant’s preference and the opportunity is available across all DIL hospitals. LPNs provide essential patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The role includes monitoring and documenting patients’ health, administering medications, assisting with personal care, performing routine medical procedures, collaborating with the healthcare team, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited LPN program.
- Current state LPN licensure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergency situations.
- Basic knowledge of medical procedures, pharmacology, and patient care techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Physical stamina and emotional stability.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of previous clinical unit experience is preferred.
