About The Position
Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities. Its services across Northwest Florida range from residential treatment to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, substance-misuse treatment, and 24/7 support for people with serious mental illnesses. The LPN provides skilled nursing services to clients with mental health, substance abuse, or developmental disabilities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or medical doctor. The role also provides related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. Services include assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person-centered services using specialized knowledge and skills, and management of client risk and safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Valid Florida Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to effectively perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training.
- Ability to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Eligibility to participate in state- or federally funded programs such as Medicaid.
- Ability to pass organizational screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence, a good driving record, and insurability under the corporate policy.
- Drug testing is required.
- A Level II background screening is required.
