About The Position
Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities across Northwest Florida. Services include residential treatment, outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, substance-misuse treatment, and 24/7 support for people with serious mental illnesses. The Licensed Practical Nurse’s primary duty is to provide skilled nursing services to mental health, substance abuse, or developmentally disabled clients under the direction of a Registered Nurse or medical doctor. The role also provides related services to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, including assessment, treatment planning, direct service provision, person-centered services using specialized knowledge and skills, and management of client risk and safety.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Valid Florida Licensed Practical Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to effectively perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training.
- Ability to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring services to individuals served and their families.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Eligibility to participate in state or federally funded programs such as Medicaid.
- Ability to pass organization screening requirements, including applicable state or federal background screenings; a Level II background screening is required.
- Valid driver’s license from the state of residence, good driving record, and insurability under the corporate policy.
- Drug testing is required.
