About The Position

Legacy Retirement Communities is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide resident care and lead care staff. The LPN coordinates care according to physician orders, assessments, residents’ individual needs, and family wishes, and responds to emergency calls using independent judgment. The position is available on either a day or night shift. Both schedules are full-time, three to four 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Requirements

• State of Nebraska Practical Nursing License (LPN).
• Ability to coordinate resident care through physician orders, assessments, and family wishes.
• Ability to assess situations and respond to emergency calls using independent judgment.
• Drive to ensure residents receive quality care for their physical and mental well-being.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of care staff and ensure adequate staffing is available to properly care for residents.
• Manage resident care based on individual needs.
• Work with residents’ families and consider their wishes in coordinating care.
• Transcribe orders and communicate with physicians.
• Coordinate admissions and transfers.
• Respond to emergency calls and use judgment to assess situations.
