About The Position

Esse Health is seeking a full-time LPN for their Swansea Internal Medicine Office. This is an outpatient clinical practice role where the LPN will provide direct or indirect nursing care to patients, assist providers with patient examinations and treatments, measure vital signs, perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and document patient care in the electronic health record. The role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient comfort and satisfaction.

Requirements

Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing
Current State licensure (IL)
CPR Certification
PC/Windows proficiency
Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments

Nice To Haves

One of more years of experience in ambulatory care
Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction

Responsibilities

Provide direct or indirect nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems
Utilize knowledge and basic nursing principles, practices and ethics
Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
Perform phlebotomy and give injections
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
