About The Position

The LPN assures the quality and continuity of resident care and supervises the performance of all members of the nursing care team on a designated Neighborhood and shift. The role works the night shift from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., every other weekend and holiday, for two days per pay period. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is available to those who qualify.

The successful candidate is proficient with technology and systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, POC, and electronic health record systems. They communicate effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners, both in person and over the phone. They are organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania LPN license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, POC, and electronic health record systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with residents, families, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners.
• Effective verbal and written communication across diverse audiences.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Help provide a safe and pleasant environment and maintain high morale for residents and nursing personnel.
• Initiate disciplinary procedures for staff as needed.
• Establish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promote guest relations.
• Arrange residents’ appointments and transportation to other departments or outside appointments.
• Observe and evaluate residents’ symptoms and conditions; ensure families and physicians are updated and physician orders are followed.
• Plan, implement, and complete residents’ plans of care, which are written on admission and continuously revised.
• Supervise the performance of nursing care team members on the designated Neighborhood and shift.
