About The Position
Performs and documents selected tasks, including administering treatments and medications, in the delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assists the registered nurse in collecting health data according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission and incorporates knowledge of the patient’s age and cultural diversity into patient care. Contributes to quality nursing care through excellent customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive patient-care outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state-approved vocational/practical nursing program.
- Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Florida.
- Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire.
- 30-hour IV course required.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Successfully complete the competency assessment.
