About The Position

Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a fun, compassionate, dependable caregiver committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve independence and quality of life. The caregiver supports activities of daily living, personal hygiene, and community outings. The individual enjoys walks, outdoor activities, conversation, and arts and crafts.

This role is offered on an independent contractor basis, not as an employee of the company, and pays $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Requirements

• Have a positive outlook and contagious energy.
• Demonstrate patience and compassion.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
• Provide proof of one year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support the individual during activities at home.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks.
• Prepare meals and perform light cleaning.
• Ensure the individual's safety and maintain a safe living environment.
• Accompany the individual to social events and community outings, including grocery shopping and appointments.
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
• Complete daily progress notes.
