About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for residents with diverse healthcare needs while supporting a safe, comfortable, and patient-centered environment. The LPN will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver quality nursing services, administer treatments, and support residents' overall health and well-being.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the State of Maine or an active Multistate Compact License.
  • Minimum one (1) year of Licensed Practical Nurse experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in a Long-Term Care setting.
  • Monitor resident conditions and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures and treatments.
  • Assist with patient assessments and care planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Monitor vital signs and resident responses to treatment.
  • Support infection prevention and control practices.
  • Educate residents and families regarding care plans and health management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality resident care.
  • Promote resident safety, comfort, dignity, and well-being.
  • Adhere to facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
