LPN - Family Medicine Walk in Clinic
About The Position
Sanford Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its fast-paced Moorhead Family Medicine Clinic. The LPN participates in implementing and evaluating patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The role works shoulder to shoulder with providers and focuses on delivering high-quality care to patients and families in the Fargo-Moorhead community. LPNs educate and communicate with patients and their families and are expected to be positive, compassionate, team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and attentive to detail. The clinic serves patients across a wide age range, from babies to older adults, and provides varied care such as wound care, procedures, and wellness visits. The schedule is Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with no weekends or major holidays. The role is an 8-hour day shift with 40 scheduled weekly hours. Experienced and newly graduated LPNs are encouraged to apply. An Ambulatory Nurse Residency Program is offered for new nurses, along with onboarding and training programs to support growth and development.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with a State Nursing Board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- If the position requires IV therapy or management skills in North Dakota, graduate from a Board-approved AASPN program that includes IV therapy in its curriculum or complete an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
