LPN, Staff Nurse - Days or Nights

Home of the Innocents is seeking LPN Staff Nurses to join our team at the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, our pediatric skilled nursing facility. This is more than a nursing job. You’ll care for medically complex children and young adults in a trauma-informed, team-driven environment where your work truly changes lives. Whether you bring years of experience or a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you. As an LPN Staff Nurse at Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center, you’ll deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care to children and young adults with complex medical needs, monitoring their progress, implementing care plans, and being a steady, caring presence every shift. You’ll work alongside RNs, Respiratory Therapists, and an expert interdisciplinary team in a supportive environment where learning and growth are part of the culture.
Requirements
- Active, unencumbered LPN license in Kentucky
- Current CPR/BLS certification (provided if needed)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for working with children and families
- Commitment to trauma-informed care and collaborative teamwork
Nice To Haves
- Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or long-term care
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, individualized nursing care to children with complex medical needs, ensuring their health, safety, and comfort every shift
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and monitor individualized care plans
- Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care — training is available for those new to this area
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Educate residents and families on managing medical conditions to support long-term health outcomes
- Foster a nurturing, trauma-informed environment that supports the healing and growth of every resident
