About The Position

The LPN - Specialty Care role involves delivering care to patients with diverse injuries and illnesses specific to the specialty clinic. This position requires performing comprehensive professional nursing duties, including assessment, treatment, and patient education under the direction of a registered nurse. The LPN will ensure timely follow-up for lab tests, imaging results, and specialty appointments, and provide counseling and education to patients and families to promote self-care and improved health outcomes. The role also includes assisting with clinic-specific procedures, such as minor surgeries and wound care, and collaborating with team members for smooth clinic operations.

Requirements

  • A current license as a practical nurse/vocational nurse in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.
  • A minimum of one year of direct patient care experience in specialty care.
  • Must have Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
