About The Position

CCMH has an immediate opening for a full-time Specialty Clinic MA/LPN for CCMH Specialty Clinic. This position will provide assistance to the new clinic physician. Duties and responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following: Room patients and obtain vital signs (BP, temperature, weight, height, etc.); assist with provider assessments by collecting basic health data of patients within the clinic setting or via phone Document assessments and care instructions provided, including follow-up appointment(s) Assist with procedures, exams, and/or functions of diagnostic equipment as requested Maintain cleanliness of clinic patient care rooms and utilize appropriate aseptic techniques for preparation, procedures, and medications to be administered Responsible for non-complex instruments and equipment maintenance, identifying problems, and coordination of appropriate repairs If requested, scribe provider dictation into electronic health records as directed by provider and assist provider with viewing and electronically signing documents through EMR platform Evaluate patient's understanding of treatment plan/follow-up instructions and confirm willingness, ability, and agreement to comply Assist with registration, phone calls, scanning, and other clinic clerical work as needed and assigned Perform regular and routine communication as needed to assure results are reported accurately and timely Must be available to provider(s) throughout a full schedule of seeing patients which will, at times, include sitting or standing for long periods of time to be able to assist and/or key information into computer May be required to administer vaccinations and/or non-prescription medications and change bandages or wound dressings Maintain strict confidentiality of all PHI encountered in performance of duties Follow and maintain all regulatory requirements, organization policies and protocols, and all professional and business ethics rules; comply with all Medicare "Conditions of Participation"

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Missouri LPN licensure w/minimum 2 years' experience in a medical clinic setting
  • Ability to maneuver through EMR systems to effectively finalize referrals and preauthorizations and to document/chart patient information
  • Must be able to effectively demonstrate use of nursing standards of care
  • Must have excellent communication skills and follow-through abilities
