About The Position

This role involves identifying and evaluating patient needs through telephone triage, administering medications including injections, and documenting them as required. The specialist will also identify and address patient and family education needs, acquire additional credentials pertinent to the specialty, and adhere to nursing policies and procedures when documenting in patient medical records. Additionally, the role requires facilitating patient flow to maintain office integrity and responding to emergency situations appropriately.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Active Florida state license
• One-year experience in a health care facility
• CPR certification within 3 months of employment
• IV certification required within 3 months of hire/transfer (for Xpress Care LPNS only)

Responsibilities

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.

• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
