Responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the development of plans for health-related issues in the school environment, as well as performing healthcare procedures. Requirements

Technical Degree or Diploma in Nursing
1-3 years of Clinical healthcare (acute or hospital) experience
Licensed Practical Nurse - Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
Ability to assess health and safety needs of students and/or faculty with direction and RN supervision.
Demonstrates effective communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Registered Nurse in the development of plans for health-related issues in the school environment.
Performing healthcare procedures.
Interacting with Memphis City Schools students, staff, and parents, Memphis and Shelby County Health Department, Community resources such as American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, etc., Community Centers, Community Churches, Physicians and clinics.
Interacting with Associates in the Partnership, Le Bonheur Education Department, LEAD, Le Bonheur Center for Children and Parents, Physicians, and Nursing Department.
