About The Position

The LPN/RN provides general nursing care to ill, injured, disabled, and convalescent residents at Palace Nursing Home & Rehab Center. This is a night-shift position working 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The facility is located at 11215 SW 84th Street, Miami, FL 33173, and is Joint Commission accredited.

The nurse administers prescribed medications and treatments using approved nursing techniques, including IV medications when certified; monitors vital signs and resident progress; assembles and uses equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supplies; and evaluates residents’ needs, condition, and care while assisting with individual nursing care plans.

Requirements

• Current Florida LPN or RN license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multitask.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and in emergencies.
• Responsible, energetic, punctual, resourceful, accurate, and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Friendly and enthusiastic, with the ability to work with a variety of people.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Spanish language skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, including IV medications if certified.
• Measure temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine residents’ progress.
• Assemble and use equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supplies.
• Evaluate residents’ needs, condition, and care, and assist in developing individual nursing care plans.
