About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides quality care to patients and assists them with daily activities. The role is full-time and works the night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Current state Nursing Assistant certification, or current enrollment in a CNA class working toward certification; non-certified work may not exceed four months.
• Current, active CPR certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform considerable physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 50 pounds to a height of at least three feet and move or carry that weight at least 50 feet.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for more than four hours per day.
• Ability to bend and/or stoop for more than one hour at a time.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Help patients with mobility and transfer them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Serve meals and assist patients with eating.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Document patient care and report concerns to nursing staff.
