About The Position

The RN/LPN provides general nursing care to ill, injured, disabled, and convalescent residents at Palace Nursing Home & Rehab Center. This night-shift role is located at 11215 SW 84th Street, Miami, Florida 33173. The facility is Joint Commission Accredited (2015).

The nurse administers prescribed medications and treatments using approved nursing techniques, including IV medications if certified; monitors residents’ vital signs; uses nursing equipment; and evaluates residents’ needs, condition, and care to help develop individual nursing care plans.

Requirements

• Current Florida LPN or RN license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Basic math skills.
• Responsible, energetic, punctual, resourceful, accurate, and detail-oriented.
• Flexible as to work schedule; must be available to work weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Able to work under pressure and multitask.
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Enthusiastic and friendly personality, with aptitude for working with a variety of people.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, including IV medications if certified.
• Measure temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determine residents’ progress.
• Assemble and use equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supplies.
• Evaluate residents’ needs, condition, and care and assist in developing individual nursing care plans.
• Provide general nursing care to ill, injured, disabled, and convalescent persons.
