About The Position

As an Inpatient Rehab Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Florida Gainesville Hospital, you’ll help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence after illness, injury, or extended hospital stays. With average stays of two to three weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness the difference your care makes in a patient’s progress. You will be part of a dynamic rehabilitation team committed to caring for and improving lives every day. The role is based in a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at a 90-bed acute care hospital. You will provide personalized care in collaboration with nurses, therapists, and physicians.

Requirements

Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN).
Vocational school graduate.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
IV Therapy must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date (LPN/LVN).
No experience required.
No travel required.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments, monitor patients’ responses, and promptly report changes.
Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to support therapy goals and promote independence.
Monitor vital signs and neurological status to detect changes and respond quickly.
Document patients’ progress and functional ability to guide care planning and team coordination.
Educate and support patients and families about recovery milestones, safety, and self-care techniques.
Work closely with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver personalized, high-quality care.
