Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Must have active Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Mississippi
Minimum of 1 year experience in a doctor's office as an LPN or Medical Assistant
Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

Participates in the planning, coordinating, and documenting of total patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team
Accurately reports and records the client’s condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change
Accurately monitor skin assessments with proper documentation and reporting of changes
Completes, maintains, and documents accurate and relevant clinical notes
Ensures timely and accurate clinical documentation for all nursing clinical services provided
Participation in education, in-services, and other training and meetings as needed
Facilitates appropriate nursing action(s) in response to administrative directives and a changing healthcare environment
Ensures all MD orders are followed and documented accordingly during the assigned shift
Manages medication administration, monitoring, and proper storage of medication and complies with all medication management policies and procedures
Providing basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, educating patients on self-care, and documenting patient information thoroughly; all while maintaining clear communication with the healthcare team and patients.
Coordinating appointments: Overseeing the scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up visits.
Maintaining patient records: Inputting and updating patient data within medical records or electronic health systems.
