Beacon Behavioral Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to join their team. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must have active Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Mississippi
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a doctor's office as an LPN or Medical Assistant
  • Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the planning, coordinating, and documenting of total patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team
  • Accurately reports and records the client’s condition and care, including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change
  • Accurately monitor skin assessments with proper documentation and reporting of changes
  • Completes, maintains, and documents accurate and relevant clinical notes
  • Ensures timely and accurate clinical documentation for all nursing clinical services provided
  • Participation in education, in-services, and other training and meetings as needed
  • Facilitates appropriate nursing action(s) in response to administrative directives and a changing healthcare environment
  • Ensures all MD orders are followed and documented accordingly during the assigned shift
  • Manages medication administration, monitoring, and proper storage of medication and complies with all medication management policies and procedures
  • Providing basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including taking vital signs, administering medications, preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, assisting with procedures, educating patients on self-care, and documenting patient information thoroughly; all while maintaining clear communication with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Coordinating appointments: Overseeing the scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up visits.
  • Maintaining patient records: Inputting and updating patient data within medical records or electronic health systems.
