About The Position

Devereux Massachusetts is seeking dedicated LPNs or RNs to join their Medically Complex Program, which serves youth with complex medical needs requiring 24-hour nursing care. This program is designed for youth who cannot safely reside in a home setting due to conditions that may include sensory impairments, Intellectual Disabilities, physical impairments, self-care skill deficits, or reliance on medical equipment. The program utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to meet individual needs and provide enriching opportunities for growth and learning, with the ultimate goal of helping each child reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Massachusetts.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, in Rutland, MA.

  • Previous experience with children and adolescents preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour nursing care to youth with complex medical needs.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to meet the unique needs of each youth.

  • Participate in ongoing coaching conversations.
  • Adhere to Devereux's zero-tolerance policy for abuse and cooperate with authorities.
