About The Position

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) is a mission-driven organization providing medical and mental healthcare and addiction recovery services to justice-involved patients. Its approach emphasizes compassionate, holistic care, dignity, respect, and rehabilitation. QCC seeks passionate healthcare professionals who support its mission of improving wellness and successful reintegration following release from incarceration. The LPN or RN provides comprehensive healthcare to patients at Putnam County Jail. The part-time schedule is one day each week, from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Requirements

Valid LPN or RN licensure.
Valid CPR certification.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients.
Administer medications.
Perform medical intakes and, as needed, assess whether a patient is fit for incarceration.
Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed.
Check and change medical dressings as required by the medical provider.
Perform 14-day physicals.
Manage chronic care.
Provide patient education on health concerns.
Respond to medical emergencies and be capable of performing life-saving measures, taking charge, and giving direction in an emergency.
Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reactions and overdoses, formulary and non-formulary medications, and medication costs.
Provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel as needed.
Comply with current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
