LPN or Medical Assistant - Casual/As Needed - Walk-in Clinic
About The Position
Essentia Health Park Rapids is seeking a dedicated LPN or CMA to join our walk-in care team at our Highway 34 Clinic, picking up open shifts on an as-needed basis. In this role, you will help provide high-quality, personalized care in a positive, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include rooming patients, partnering with internal and external teams to ensure seamless, coordinated care, and various other duties as assigned. The walk-in schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Every third weekend and a holiday rotation are required, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas. Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota upon hire (for LPNs).
- Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire (for CMAs).
- Must pass certification within two attempts (for CMAs).
- AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
- Education as required for licensure.
Responsibilities
- Assists RN, Physician and other providers and provides direct patient care in the ambulatory care setting to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
- Will perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
- Cares for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted on age-related category.
- Rooming patients
- Partnering with internal and external teams to ensure seamless, coordinated care
