About The Position

Performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard practice of care. They are responsible for restocking of supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - preferred
BLS Certification
Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Missouri (for LPN applicants)
Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing program (for LPN applicants)

Responsibilities

Restocking of supplies in the work area
Maintaining a safe working environment
Taking vital signs
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and public
Maintaining quality control standards
Reacting calmly and effectively in emergency situations
Communicating clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
Performing diagnostic testing/procedures such as x-rays and non-waived testing
Taking patient history
Patient education and instruction

Utilizing diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs
Assuming responsibility for professional growth and development
