About The Position

We are seeking a CMA or LPN to join our long-term dedicated staff in our Urgent Care. This role involves assisting medical staff to help patients maintain health or promote healing, performing patient care duties across all age groups, and providing quality service to internal customers. The position also requires excellent customer service, a commitment to professional growth and continuing education, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

Medical Assistant Program Graduate or LPN registered in State MN
Current LPN license in the State of Minnesota or Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred.
Current CPR certification required.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients served, along with appropriate support services to MD, NP and PA required.
Familiarity with legal and insurance requirements related to documentation within the medical record required.
Strong human relations, written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to work without direct supervision.

Nice To Haves

Previous Medical Assistant or LPN experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists the medical staff to help patients maintain health, or promote healing.
Performs patient care duties with infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Performs technical skills specific to assigned service area and other areas as appropriate.
Provides quality service to all internal customers.
Assists all support service areas, as needed.
Provides excellent customer service to patients, families and internal contacts using AIDET.
Accepts responsibility for professional growth and continuing education.
Accepts responsibility and assures quality, cost effective patient care.
Accepts responsibility for communication with all customers.
Uses proper verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with patients, families and other health disciplines to support the continuum of healthcare delivery.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
