About The Position

Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility constructed in 2018 and conveniently located at 9938 Airline Highway, is seeking an LPN Medication Nurse to work every other weekend. This role involves providing skilled nursing care, promoting patient health through teaching and rehabilitation, dispensing medication, documenting patient progress, and advising the Director of Nursing/Administrator on risk management activities.

Requirements

License Practical Nurse.
CPR and CPI must be maintained.
Organizes and prioritizes work while being cost-effective and conserving resources.
Should be able to work with multi-disciplinary team.
Able to tolerate high stress and high volume of work.
Organized and self-disciplined.
Thorough documentation.
Utilizes listening skills that indicate understanding and promotes accurate interpretation of other's concerns, motivations, and feelings.
Works toward resolution of interpersonal conflicts as they arise.

Nice To Haves

Psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides skilled nursing care to patients as directed by the registered nurse and physician's plan of care in accordance with hospital policy.
Promotes and maintains patient health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures under the guidance of the registered nurse.
Dispenses medication under the direction of the registered nurse and according to physician orders.
Dictates and writes progress notes for one to one & group sessions in accordance with policies and procedures.
Advises Director of Nursing/Administrator of any risk management activities in order to reduce or eliminate patient/staff/visitor injuries, illnesses, death, and/or financial loss.
