About The Position

The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living setting through safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation. The role helps prevent medication errors, identify health changes early, protect resident safety, and maintain regulatory compliance. The nurse also supports residents’ quality of life and contributes to their care plans.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.

• Experience in senior care or medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document medication and treatment administration accurately and in real time in the MAR/TAR.
• Monitor symptoms and administer ordered medications for symptom relief.
• Promptly report medication refusals and adverse reactions.
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs).
• Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates.
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes.
• Maintain medication carts and complete narcotic counts.
• Uphold medication compliance and resident safety standards.
