About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources along with TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) at Clark County Jail in Springfield, Ohio. The LPN will be providing Correctional Medical care for those housed at the Clark County Jail. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide a range of medical care including primary, addiction, urgent, and behavioral health care to an adult population. The position is characterized by a high degree of medical autonomy and a focus on evidence-based care addressing patient needs. It offers exposure to a vast array of medical pathology not typically seen in other healthcare settings and provides socially meaningful work by serving a marginalized population. The environment is safer than many other healthcare settings due to strict security protocols.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by a state agency or accredited by the ACEN
• A minimum of 12 months of experience in a primary care setting within the last 24 months
• Active, unrestricted OH LPN license
• BLS from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of medical care to include primary, addiction, urgent and behavioral health care
• Address patient needs with evidence-based care
• Manage a wide array of medical pathology
• Serve a socially marginalized patient population
