About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with 18 locations across 7 states, offering a high standard of medical and clinical treatment across all levels of care, including detox, residential, PHP IOP, and outpatient services. The organization is JCAHO and CARF accredited and in full compliance with ASAM standards. They are seeking a compassionate professional to join their team. The specific role is for a part-time or full-time LPN for overnight shifts (7pm-7am) on Thursdays and Fridays, with an option for a Wednesday day shift (7am-7pm). The work will be performed at Avenues Recovery Center at Lake Ariel, a 40-bed residential facility nestled on 5.19 acres in the Poconos mountains, providing drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. The facility offers round-the-clock supervision and care in a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental atmosphere, supported by a dedicated staff including primary therapists, clinicians, nurse practitioners, addictions counselors, and behavioral health technicians.

Requirements

Minimum one year diploma program post - high school
Current LPN licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
Strong oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, efficient worker with ability to multitask
Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles

Responsibilities

Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment and discharge
Coordinate all pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep clear med logs
Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams to ensure total coordination of care
Maintain meticulous medical documentation, tracking and reporting for each client
Provide patient education in individual and group settings
