About The Position
Willis Knighton Bossier 3 West, a medical/surgical/telemetry floor, is seeking a motivated and organized Licensed Practical Nurse with strong assessment and communication skills. The role offers an opportunity to develop organizational and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced hospital setting. The patient population includes medical, surgical, and cardiac patients, with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 and assistance from a nurse's aide. Prior hospital nursing experience is recommended, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. The position may also provide useful experience for employees interested in pursuing an RN degree. LPNs receive comprehensive hospital and unit-specific orientation, including one-to-one nursing instruction with a preceptor. A sign-on bonus is offered for a one-year agreement ($3,000) or a two-year agreement ($5,000).

Responsibilities
- Delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary staff.
- Perform comprehensive assessments and document findings.
- Communicate with physicians and the case manager.
- Provide patient education.
- Administer medications accurately.
